Overview

Barbara J. Magid, MD, MPH, MIA is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine in the Vagelos College of Physicians & Surgeons at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center. She received her MD, MPH and MIA from Columbia University, and her BA from Tufts University. Dr. Magid completed her Emergency Medicine Residency training at NewYork-Presbyterian (NYP) Columbia and Cornell, where she also served as Chief Resident. Dr. Magid holds a New York State Medical License.

Dr. Magid is passionate about global health, migrant health, and women’s health. She serves as Co-Chair of the Cross-Campus Columbia-Cornell Emergency Medicine Women’s Physician Group (WomEM), Co-Director of the Residency’s Women’s Health and Research Academic Practice Track (APT) and Co-Chair of the NYP Columbia-Cornell Emergency Medicine Residency Scholarly Committee.
